What should an IPTV test tell you?
A useful test is about one thing – whether the service works for you:
- Your device. Can the recommended app be installed on your TV, box or phone?
- Your connection. Does the picture stay stable on a weekday evening, when the rest of the household is online too?
- What you actually watch. Check that the content you care about is there.
- The support. Do you get a quick, clear answer when you ask a question?
How to ask us about a test
We do not promise a test on this page. Message us on WhatsApp instead and ask whether an IPTV test is possible right now. You will get a straight answer on four points:
- whether a test can be arranged,
- how long it would last,
- whether it costs anything,
- what happens when the test ends.
Pressing the button only starts a conversation. Nothing is switched on by itself.
Make the test a fair one
- Note the exact model and operating system of your device. The Devices page shows where to find them.
- Run a speed test in the room where the TV is – not next to the router.
- Try different times: a weekday evening, a Sunday morning and a Saturday night.
- Write down the time if the picture stutters. It makes it much easier for us to help.
Not sure what the numbers mean? Read our guide to internet speed for streaming.
A simple plan for the test itself
If you get access for a test, use the time on purpose instead of browsing:
| Step | What to do | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open the app and move through the menus | How fast the app responds on your device |
| 2 | Watch a live channel you normally watch for ten minutes | Whether the picture stays stable |
| 3 | Change channel several times and open the TV guide | Switching speed and whether the guide is filled in |
| 4 | Start a movie or an episode, pause it and jump forward | How on-demand playback behaves |
| 5 | Repeat steps 2 and 3 in the evening | Whether busy hours change anything |
Good signs and warning signs
- Good: the picture starts within a few seconds, stays sharp, and the sound stays in sync.
- Good: your questions are answered clearly and in writing.
- Warning: the picture stops at the same time every evening. That usually points to an overloaded home network, so test with a cable before you judge the service.
- Warning: you are pushed to pay before your device has been checked.
Four mistakes that spoil a test
- Testing on another device than the one you will use every day.
- Testing only at midday, when nobody else is online.
- Testing on weak Wi-Fi two rooms away from the router and blaming the service.
- Judging by one channel. Try several kinds of content before you decide.
After the test
If you want to continue, there are three packages: 1 account for 1 year at €50, 2 accounts for 1 year each at €95, or 3 accounts for 1 year each at €140. Everything is on the pricing page. More interested in the terms of a trial period than in the technical side? Then IPTV trial is the page for you.
